Background
As a performer, I have sung at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, on National Public Radio, in opera, oratorio and recital. My CD "Sweet Peace" has been heard on WGBH radio, WHJJ, WBAI NY, and has been praised by international opera mezzo Frederica von Stade and composer Ned Rorem as "very beautiful." (Please see complete bio at www.sweetpeace.com.) I have 15 years experience teaching voice students, who range from those who have difficulty matching pitch to those who are very gifted. I am very adept at guiding the student to reach his or her full potential, whether that is being able to accurately and joyfully sing a song, cantor for the church, or audition successfully for graduate schools and opera companies. Students have been accepted to Tanglewood and Eastman summer programs, opera companies, and as voice majors at Indiana University, North Carolina School for the Arts, Berklee College of Music, Penn State U (grad school). My students learn a healthy technique that will serve them in their desired repertoire.
